Our kites are made in Weifang, a city which has a long history of kite making. The Weifang International Kite Festival is hosted each April in the city of Weifang. This internationally acclaimed event has been hosted continuously since 1984, attracting thousands upon thousands of visitors from around the world. Weifang, known for its kite production at Yang Jia Bu, where traditional-style kites are handmade, is called the “Kite Capital of the World.” It is home to the fabulous Weifang Kite Museum, which features an amazingly large collection of kites. The offices of the International Kite Federation are located in the museum. History reveals that the people of Weifang have been flying kites since A.D.1368. Many believe Weifang to be one of the birth places of the Chinese Kite. Its kite making is unmatched in artisanship and subject matter. The large variety of kites tell stories of Chinese fairy tales, folk lore, and the modern Chinese life. Some of he kites showcased on our website are mini ones used for the purpose of home decoration; some are for flying and decoration both.
